  • Technical University of Denmark

    Technical University of Denmark run a One Health Summer University focusing on Food Safety and Zoonoses.

    This is offered as a  joint collaboration between Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and University of Copenhagen (UCPH) by their common food, veterinary and health platform Food Science Copenhagen” FOSCO.

    The One Health approach has gained world-wide renewed attention during the last years as a way to handle emerging infectious diseases, food safety and environmental health problems. This One Health Summer University provides insight into and a critical overview of the methods used in the One Health approach by drawing on the successful Danish achievements characterized by widely cross-disciplinary collaboration between public authorities, public administrations, research bodies and industry sectors.

    The programme  involves both a pre-course e-learning module and in-person component (12 days in Denmark)

    Training the next generation of One Health Practitioners: The development of a High School level One Health.

    The One Health Career-Oriented Youth Educational National Program includes a “One Health” component that integrates human, animal and environmental health sciences. It also emphasizes the public health and regulatory aspects of zoonotic and exotic diseases.
